Emerald Coast Saves, which began as Okaloosa Saves, is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Since 2003, our mission has been to promote positive financial action by raising awareness and educating the community on how to make smart financial choices related to saving for the future, building wealth and reducing debt. Emerald Coast Saves has a volunteer Board of Directors from area businesses and financial institutions.

Okaloosa Saves earned the America Saves Week Savings Champion award five consecutive years, an honor explicitly reserved for organizations who effectively and actively promote saving strategies during the annual America Saves Week campaign!
Okaloosa Saves was one of 20 organizations honored with this distinction, out of more than 5,000 participating organizations of America Saves Week, which took place April 6 – 10, 2026 as part of Financial Literacy Month.
