Okaloosa Saves rebrands as Emerald Coast Saves to reflect regional growth

Okaloosa Saves is excited to announce that, after 23 years, it is rebranding as Emerald Coast Saves.
The change comes as the organization now serves communities across Okaloosa, Walton, Santa Rosa, Escambia and neighboring counties. The new name more accurately reflects the organization's growing reach and impact throughout Northwest Florida.

Okaloosa Saves celebrates successful Teach a Child to Save campaign

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. – Okaloosa Saves is celebrating another successful year of its annual Teach a Child to Save campaign, which encourages youth ages 17 and younger to develop healthy savings habits and establish a foundation for lifelong financial success. The campaign was held April 1 – June 30 in partnership with financial institutions throughout Okaloosa and Walton counties.
This year, 189 youths from Eglin Federal Credit Union, Renasant Bank, CCB Bank, Midsouth Bank, Teachers Federal Credit Union, PenFed and United Fidelity under the age of 18 participated in the Okaloosa Saves Teach Children to Save campaign, with deposits totaling $42,337.39. Since 2007 America Saves Week has been an annual celebration as well as a call to action for everyday Americans to commit to saving successfully. Okaloosa Saves participated in the Okaloosa Public Schools Foundation’s 6th Annual College and Career Fair, where students from Niceville, FWB and Choctawhatchee High Schools connected with colleges, universities and local employers. The event offered a strong starting point for students planning their education and career goals.

Eglin Federal Credit Union, Renasant Bank and Okaloosa Saves partner in the Teach Children to Save Campaign

Fort Walton Beach, Fla. (July 22, 2025) - Eglin Federal Credit Union partnered with Okaloosa Saves and Renasant Bank for the annual Teach Children to Save campaign April 1 – June 30. Youths were encouraged to set a savings goal and make a deposit into their savings account. Their names were entered into a random drawing for six children to win a $50 deposit into their savings account from Okaloosa Saves. Winners were invited for recognition prior to the Okaloosa Board of County Commissioners budget meeting on Tuesday, July 22 where they received certificates.
